2014 Timetables

In summer 2014, trains ran from Koszalin to Manowo every Saturday and Sunday from 28 June to 31 August, with departures from Koszalin at 11:00 and 17:00. See the full timetable below.

The Koszalin narrow gauge railway has obtained metre-gauge steam locomotive Px48-3910 on a 20-year loan form the Warsaw Railway Museum. The locomotive has been on static display and the society are seeking 500,000 zł from Koszalin council to restore it to working order.

From 1 to 4 May 2014, and on 1 June (Children's Day), trains ran from Koszalin to Manowo at 11:00, returning from Manowo at 15:00. See the full timetable below. (Photos of the train on 1 May).

On Saturday 17 May the Koszalin narrow gauge railway participated in Museum Night. The event was a great success with about 3000 visitors. The sheds and workshops were open to the public from 18:00 to 24:00. There was an exhibition of photographs and railway films in the narrow gauge station, a display of historic military equipment, and train rides from the depot to the station. After the event at midnight, a night train ran from Koszalin to Manowo and return.

On Sunday 15 June, a train ran for the Manowo Parish Festival, departing Koszalin at 13:00, and returning from Manowo at 18:30.

On Saturday 8 November, a special train ran from Koszalin to Rosnowo for Railwaymen's Day. This was the first public train to reach Rosnowo since 2001. At Rosnowo there was an ognisko (bonfire for cooking sausages) and kabaret. The train returned from Rosnowo at 16:00. See the event poster and photo gallery.

On Saturday 22 November, a special train ran from Koszalin to Rosnowo to celebrate the 116th anniversary of the Koszalin narrow gauge railway. Photo gallery.

On Sunday 23 November, a train ran from Koszalin to Manowo, departing at 11:00.

On Wednesday 31 December, a New Year's Eve party train ran from Koszalin to Manowo, with a DJ, grill, vodka and champagne included. The train departed Koszalin at 21:00. Tickets were 70zł. Event poster.

2013 Timetables

In summer 2013, trains ran from Koszalin to Manowo every Sunday from 30 June to 29 September, with departures from Koszalin at 11:00 and 17:00. See the full timetable below.

On Sunday 13 January a special train ran, raising money for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Grand Finale. It departed Koszalin at 12:00.

On Wednesday 1 May a "May Picnic" special train ran (timetable below).

On Saturday 11 May a train ran from Koszalin to Manowo for a guided forest walk organised by the Manowo Forest District. The train departed Koszalin at 08:10, reached Manowo at 09:00 and continued to the forest at 09:15, arriving at 09:30. At the end of the walk there was an ognisko (bonfire for cooking sausages) at Manowo, before the train back to Koszalin at 13:10. (For full timetable see the event poster - in Polish).

On Saturday 18 May the Koszalin narrow gauge railway participated in Museum Night. The sheds and workshops were open to the public from 18:00 to 24:00, and there was an exhibition of photographs showing the history of the railway in the station waiting room. At 24:00 there was a train to Bonin and back.

On Saturday 1 June trains ran for Children's Day, departing Koszalin at 11:00 and 17:00, and returning from Manowo at 15:00 and 18:00. See the full timetable below.

On Sunday 2 June a train ran for the Manowo Parish Festival, departing Koszalin at 11:00, and returning from Manowo at 15:00. See the full timetable below.

On Fridays 5 July and 30 August 2013 there were trains from Koszalin to Manowo, departing Koszalin at 11:00 and returning from Manowo at 15:00. At Manowo there was an ognisko (bonfire for cooking sausages) and games and activities for children. The trains were part of the "Safe Holidays", funded by Koszalin municipal council.

On Saturday 23 November a special train ran to celebrate the 115th anniversary of the Koszalin narrow gauge railway. The train departed Koszalin at 11:00 and ran to the current end of the line at about km17, between Manowo and Rosnowo, with photo stops. The train was a mixed passenger and freight train.

2012 Timetables

In summer 2012, trains ran every Sunday from 30 June to 2 September, with two return trains from Koszalin to Manowo on each running day (see timetable below).

Special events in 2012:

• On Sunday 8 January 2012 there was a special train at 12:00 from Koszalin to Manowo and return raising money for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Grand Finale.
• On Tuesday 1 May 2012 a "May Picnic" train ran from Koszalin to Manowo and return, departing Koszalin in 11:00 and returning there at 16:50.
• On Saturday 19 May 2012 Koszalin participated in Museum Night. The sheds were open to the public from 6pm to midnight. At midnight there was a special night train to Bonin and return.
• On Sunday 27 May a special train ran for the Dni Koszalina (Koszalin Days) event, departing Koszalin at 11:00 to Manowo for an ognisko (bonfire for cooking sausages). The train will return from Manowo at 15:00.
• On Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 November there was a special event called "Time Machine". On Saturday 17 from 11:00 to 14:00 there was an exhibition of photographs in Koszalin Wąsk station building, hand trolley and locomotive rides, and an opportunity to explore the historic narrow gauge depot. On Sunday 18 there was a special train from Koszalin Wąsk to Manowo, departing Koszalin at 11:00, returning around 13:00. The event was part financed by the Zachodniopomorskie region.
• On Saturday 24 November a special train ran for the 114th Anniversary of the Koszalin narrow gauge railway, departing Koszalin at 11:00. The train ran to the current end of the line at km 16.2 with photo stops. The train consisted of Romanian railbus MBxd2-307 and a brake van, with the Wmc draisine following.
• On Sunday 25 November a train ran to Manowo, departing Koszalin at 11:00, returning around 15:00.
• On Monday 31 December a New Year's Eve special train ran, departing Koszalin Wąsk at 21:00 and running to Manowo for New Year celebrations including a DJ, bonfire and grill.

2011 Timetables

On Saturday 14 May 2011, the Society of Friends of Koszalin narrow gauge railway held a 'Museum Night' at the Koszalin locomotive sheds from 6pm at midnight, with depot tours, films, handcar and railcar rides, a bonfire with sausages and other attractions.

In summer 2011, trains ran from Koszalin to Manowo every Sunday from 26 June to 28 August.

"Mushroom picking" trains ran from Koszalin to Manowo on Saturdays 17 and 24 September 2011.

On Saturday 26 November 2011, a special train ran to celebrate the 113th anniversary of the railway (see photo gallery).

On 31 December 2011, a New Year's Eve special train ran, leaving Koszalin at 21:00 and returning at 03:00.

2010 Timetables

On 10 January 2010 at 12:00 a festive train ran from Koszalin to Bonin and return.

In summer 2010, trains ran from Koszalin to Manowo every Sunday from 20 June to 29 August

2009 Timetables

On Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 May 2009 special trains ran from Koszalin to Manowo and return at 11:00 and 16:00 for the National "Youth in Action" Program.

On Saturday 28 November 2009 a special train ran from Koszalin to the end of the line 1.5km beyond Manowo to celebrate the 111th anniversary of the Koszalin narrow gauge railway.

2008 Timetables

On Saturday 15 November 2008 a special train ran from Koszalin to Manowo and return to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the Koszalin narrow gauge railway.

2001 Timetables

The last full PKP timetable ran every weekday until Friday 8 June 2001 with two return trains a day from Koszalin to Świelino.

On Saturdays and Sundays from 23 June to 31 July 2001 PKP ran tourist trains from Koszalin to Rosnowo.

On Saturday 15 September 2001 a farewell special ran from Koszalin to Świelino and return (see photo report - in German). From this date the railway was effectively closed.
